‘Low carbon footprint’ is a project based on the idea of using pollution (CO2) as raw material.

I produce objects from waste material mixed with a 100% natural resin (sodium silicate), which consumes CO2 when it’s dry.

I used scoria collected at Baudelet Environement industry.

Using waste material and a 100% natural resin which consumes CO2, creates a ‘low carbon footprint’ object.

The material I created is strong and heavy. Made out of scoria, like stone, I decided to explore table tops objects. I mixed recycled material, sand, marble dust to produce plates. I tried to colour the material using natural pigments.

Today, my project is just design research. I can’t produce them as industrial products.

It’s a work in progress projects.
