CYCLIQUE : Wood & Bio Plastic Eyewear

MÛ CYCLIQUE is an innovative eyewear product, which combines eco-consciousness and efficient design. MÛ respects its commitments and its environment by developing a responsible industrial product. By designing from raw and biodegradable materials, it enhances the natural material as well as its functionality.

CYCLIQUE eyewear , the name comes from ‘Cycle’, which symbolise the recycling aspect of the product. Indeed, I designed MÛ ‘Cyclique ‘ based on a concept of interchangeability and recyclability.

The customer will be able to build his own frame, by choosing among thirteen shapes, three wooden finish and ten tints of bioplastic arms. In addition, I designed a flex and screwless hinges, with exchangeable arms by the optician.

Once used arms, or just for fashion, the customer can buy a new pair at a reduced price by giving the old one to the optician. MÛ collects the worn arms to recycle them and reuses the material to make new ones. The idea was to realise a sustainable and affordable product, where the life cycle is in accord with the duty cycle.

Eco-consciousness : Since its conception, MÛ Visions is engaged in a specific research approach with the aim to create with the concern of creating products that relate to the cycle of life, using materials that are 100% recyclable.
