PORCELAIN DESIGN EXHIBITION

I did an exhibition at the gallery SR 77, in Lille. The theme of the exhibition was ‘poems objects‘, in porcelain.

I worked few weeks in a porcelain manufacture : ‘Pierre Arcquié’ workshop, in Limoges.

I experimented porcelain design. I created new products typology without doing any moulds. The idea was to create pieces, with the less investment possible.

For doing porcelain products, we have to produce first a plaster mould. Then we can produce the final porcelain piece. Inside the manufacture, they had already more than 3 000 moulds.

So I decided to select parts of existing products and combined them to create new pieces.

I called them ‘poems objects’ because I mixed different objects, I mean, different stories to create a new story.

Then I produced limited pieces of each story and sold them inside the gallery.
