INTERTWINE

This project is taking part of the Alphabet series. This is a combination of two projects which create one object.

Like a word, an association of letters, I created an object, which is an association of functions.

My first letter was the structure itself, and the second one was the light. The new object is a combination of both function which is a floor lamp.

Same principle as the letters projects, the customer would be able to select and combine elements to create functional objects. Inside a catalogue, for example, where all primary elements would be presented, depending on their budget, taste, space at home and needs, they could create functional customised objects.

This project was shown during Lille 3000 exhibition at ‘Musée Lille Gare St Sauveur’. It was presented inside ‘Living Design’ exhibition, in 2012.

With this creation, I was looking for simplicity. The structure and the light are not fixed by glue or screw… It is the light cable, wrapped around the structure which joins both objects, like an ivy plant.
