I wanted to create wooden glasses, and I chose to use two different technics.

The front face is made out of plywood : we press many layers of wood, using a water-based glue. The temples are made out of steam wood : When you place a piece of wood in a steam warm atmosphere, then you will be able to bend it. Once the wood becomes dry, it will stay in the shape you have chosen.

I tried to simplify the design. There is no hinge, no metal parts, only wood. The glasses are light and comfortable. This frame is also sustainable and could be quite cheap to produce.

I think it could be quite interesting as a sunglasses collection.
